It was a breezy first half of the month with overnight northwesterly land breezes followed, on occasions, in the afternoons, by brisk southwesterlies running along the beach. Although on some days there were gentler sea breezes blowing from the southeast. Later in the month, winds were generally lighter, with overnight land breezes more typically being replaced by gentle east or southeasterly sea breezes. On 5 days gusts exceeded 20 knots (23 mph) but the 29th, with a gust of 21 knots (24 mph) was the only one of the breezier days to occur after the 8th. The highest gust occurred on the 8th, with 28 knots (32 mph) measured.
Fog
There was no fog observed in west Malaga during April, although the Airport noticed fog patches briefly around dawn on the 25th.
