Temperatures
The average maximum temperature during July 2018 in Malaga was 30.2 Celsius (86F), and that was 0.8 Celsius (1.5F) above normal for the time of year. The average minimum temperature was 20.7 Celsius (69F), and that was 1.1 Celsius (2F) below normal for July.
The highest temperature recorded during the month was 36.8 Celsius (98F) on the 20th, but there were 4 other days when the temperature exceeded 35 Celsius (95F), but there were only 10 other days when the temperature exceeded 30 Celsius (86F).On many days (15) the temperature rose to between 25 and 30 Celsius (77-86F), but there was 1 cooler day, and that was the 24th when the temperature only reached 24.7 Celsius (76F).
There were no exceptionally warm nights during July, but on 2 occasions the temperature stayed above 23 Celsius (73F). Northwesterly winds dominated on 20 days during July, but with sea breezes from either the southeast or southwest occurring on most afternoons. Breezes were mostly light or gentle, but with the occasional brisker southwesterly wind blowing along the beach. The highest gust was 20 knots (23 mph) from the northwest on one of the hotter days, the 30th.
Fog
There was no fog observed in west Malaga during July, although misty low cloud was observed on the morning of the 23rd.
