Weather in Malaga – July 2025

Seasonably Dry and Very Warm

Temperatures

The average maximum temperature during July 2025 in Malaga was 30.4 Celsius (87F), and that was 0.8 Celsius (1.5F) above normal for the time of year. The average minimum temperature was 22.6 Celsius (73F), and that was 0.7 Celsius (<1.5F) above average for July.

The highest temperature recorded during the month was 38.1 Celsius (101F) on both the 18th and 20th, but 37.4 Celsius (99F) was recorded on the 19th. Only 1 other day had a maximum temperature above 33 Celsius (91F), that was on the 6th when 33.1 Celsius (91F) occurred. On most other days (19) the top temperature ranged from 28 to 33 Celsius (82-91F). In fact, during the first half of July the maximum temperature was 28 Celsius (82F), or higher, on every day bar one. On the 13th, a high of 27.9 Celsius (82F) occurred. There were several somewhat cooler days during the second half of July, but only 4 days had maxima below 27 Celsius (81F). The 23rd, 25th and 28th each had highs between 26 and 27 Celsius (79-81F), but the coolest day of the month was the 24th with a top temperature of 25.6 Celsius (78F).

The warmest night in July was the 20th, with a minimum temperature of 26.8 Celsius (80F). However, a low of 25.3 Celsius (78F) was recorded on the 9th, and 25.1 Celsius (77F) occurred on the 19th. On most nights (20) minimum temperatures ranged from 21 to 24 Celsius (70-75F). There were several cooler nights, these mainly occurring between the end of the second week and the beginning of the fourth week. On 2 of these cooler nights the temperature fell below 20 Celsius (68F). The 21st had a low of 19.9 Celsius (68F), and 19.3 Celsius (67F) was recorded on the 22nd.

The sea temperature ranged from 22 to 25 Celsius (72-77F) until around mid month, but then a sudden dip to 17 or 18 Celsius (63-64F) occurred. It even briefly fell to 16 Celsius (61F). However, at the end of the month, the sea temperature rapidly recovered to between 23 and 25 Celsius (73-77F).

Rain

No rain fell in this part of west Malaga. However, a shower occurred in the early hours of the 14th in central and eastern Malaga. This resulted in 0.6 millimetres (0.02 ins.) of rain being measured at the Malaga harbour weather site.

Thunder

No thunderstorms were observed in west Malaga.

Hail

No hail was observed in this part of west Malaga.

Wind

Winds during July were typical of a mid Summer month, with southeasterly sea breezes dominating northwesterly land breezes by a ratio of about 2 to 1. On most days the winds were light or gentle and gusts were no higher than 17 knots (20 mph), but there were 4 days when gusts exceeded 20 knots (23 mph). An east to southeasterly wind gusted to 25 knots (29 mph) on the 8th, and a hot, very dry and blustery northwest wind reached 23 knots (26 mph) on the 19th. East-southeasterly winds were blowing when gusts of 21 and 22 knots (24-25 mph) occurred on the 28th and 29th respectively.

Fog

No fog was observed in this part of west Malaga.
