Temperatures
The average maximum temperature during June 2025 in Malaga was 29.0 Celsius (84F), and that was 1.9 Celsius (3.5F) above normal for the time of year. The average minimum temperature was 21.4 Celsius (71F), and that was 2.0 Celsius (>3.5F) above average for June. It was the warmest June since records began in 2005.
The highest temperature recorded during the month was 34.4 Celsius (94F) on the 25th, and although this was not close to a record for June, a further 11 days had maxima above 30 Celsius (86F), including highs of 32.8 Celsius (91F) on the 22nd and 31.7 Celsius (89F) on the 20th. Only 2 of these warmer days occurred before mid month. There were no particularly cool days during June. In fact, after mid month the lowest maxima was 28.9 Celsius (84F) on the 18th. Before mid month there were 4 days, the 5th, 7th, 9th and 15th, that had maxima below 26 Celsius (79F). However, only 1 of these less warm days had a high below 25 Celsius (77F). On the 7th, a maximum temperature of 24.7 Celsius (76F) was recorded.
The warmest night in June was the 24th, with a minimum temperature of 24.1 Celsius (75F). However, a low of 23.9 Celsius (75F) was recorded on the 26th, and 23.6 Celsius (74F) occurred on the 30th. Each night from the 14th until the end of the month had minima above 21 Celsius (70F). Whereas, prior to the 14th, only 1 night, the 10th, had a minimum above 21 Celsius (70F). The low on that night was 21.1 Celsius (70F). No especially cool nights occurred during June. In fact, only 2 nights had minima below 19 Celsius (66F). On the 5th, a minimum of 18.1 Celsius (65F) occurred, and the following night had a low of 17.8 Celsius (64F).
The sea temperature was mostly between 19 and 22 Celsius (66-72F) during the first half of June, but ranged from 23 to 25 Celsius (73-77F) during the second half of the month.
Rain
There was 1.0 millimetres (0.04 ins.) of rain during June. This was 48% of the average. Measurable rain fell on 1 day, and that was 4 days below average for the time of year. A few spots of rain fell late in the evening on the 10th, but during the early hours of the 11th, a very brief burst of heavy rain produced 1.0 millimetres (0.04 ins.), and that was the only measurable rain during June.
Thunder
A thunderstorm occurred late in the evening on the 10th. Although it lasted for around an hour, there was no significant rain. Another storm in the early hours of the 11th gave 1 rumble of thunder. Only 1 rumble of thunder was heard in the storm that occurred north of Malaga during the evening of the 23rd. No rain occurred locally with this storm.
Hail
No hail was observed in this part of west Malaga.
Wind
Winds during June were fairly typical of an early Summer month, with northwesterly land breezes and southeasterly sea breezes sharing dominance during the month. On most days the winds were light or gentle and gusts were no higher than 17 knots (20 mph). However, there was 1 exception. During the early hours of the 11th there was a high-level thunderstorm, and a downdraught associated with this storm produced a gust of 38 knots (43 mph), and at Malaga Airport 44 knots (50 mph).
Fog
No fog was observed in this part of west Malaga.
