This was the first month this year with minimum temperatures below the long-term average.
There were no exceptionally warm days during November, but the temperature reached 25.8 Celsius (78F) on the 2nd, and 23.1 Celsius and 23.2 Celsius (74F) on the 7th and 12th respectively. A further 9 days had maxima above 21 Celsius (70F), but only 1 of these warmer days occurred after mid month. On most other days the top temperature ranged from 18 to 21 Celsius (64-70F). Rain
A total of 40.2 millimetres (1.58 ins.) of rain fell during November. This was 59% of the monthly average. Measurable rain fell on 6 days, and that was 1 day below average for the time of year. Showery rain occurred mid evening on the 5th and amounted to 4.8 millimetres (0.19 ins). It then remained dry for a week. On the evening of the 13th there were 5.6 millimetres (0.22 ins.) of rain. The following day was mostly cloudy, and from late afternoon on the 14th heavy rain occurred, and the total for the day was 18.0 millimetres (0.71 ins.). Showery rain occurred at times on the 15th, with 9.8 millimetres (0.39 ins.) measured by the end of the day. Light showers occurred on the afternoon and during the evening of 16th, with slightly heavier showers producing 1.6 millimetres (0.06 ins.) of rain during the afternoon. This was the last measurable rain of the month, although light showers dampened the ground on the morning of the 30th.

Wind
Winds during November were typical of a late-Autumn month, with northwesterly land breezes dominant. Only 4 days had southeast breezes (from the sea) for any length of time. The only sea breeze of any significance occurred during the 3rd.The east to southeasterly winds that occurred on the 5th, 14th and 15th were associated with spells of unsettled weather. Although it was often quite breezy, no particularly strong winds occurred. Only 3 days had gusts exceeding 20 knots (23 mph). The highest gust was 22 knots (25 mph) on the 25th.
