The first thunder occurred in the early hours of the 12th, but rumbles were few and far between. Wind
The wind pattern was typical for mid Autumn with the sea breeze becoming less dominant allowing northwesterly land breezes to last longer through the mornings and returning earlier in the evenings. On most days the wind was light or gentle, and there was only 1 day when gusts exceeded 20 knots (23 mph). On the 29th there was a gust of 24 knots (27 mph) from the east-southeast, accompanied by some large waves.
