Weather in Malaga – October 2025

Very Dry and Exceptionally Warm

Temperatures

The average maximum temperature during October 2025 in Malaga was 25.9 Celsius (79F), and that was 2.0 Celsius (3.5F) above normal for the time of year. The average minimum temperature was 19.1 Celsius (66F), and that was 2.1 Celsius (>3.5F) above average for October. Overall, it was the warmest October since records began in 2005. It beat the previous record (2014) by over 1 degree Celsius (1.8 F).

There were several very warm days during October. The highest temperature recorded during the month was 32.7 Celsius (91F) on the 23rd. This was the highest temperature recorded so late in the year, although the record October temperature of 35.9 Celsius (97F) occurred on the 22nd of the month (in 2014). In October 2025 there were 2 other days with highs above 30 Celsius (86F). On the 5th, a maximum of 30.3 Celsius (87F) occurred, with 30.8 Celsius (87F) measured on the 24th. On most days (20) the maximum temperature ranged from 23 to 28 Celsius (73-82F). There were 4 cooler days, with all of these occurring during the last week of October. The only 2 days to have highs lower than 22 Celsius (72F) were the 27th and 29th, with maxima of 21.9 and 19.8 Celsius (71 and 68F) on the 27th and 29th respectively.

No exceptionally warm nights occurred during October, but 21.9 Celsius (71F) was recorded on both the 5th and 23rd. On the 22nd, a low of 21.8 Celsius (71F), and both the 6th and 24th also had minima above 21 Celsius (70F). Other nights had minima ranging from 17 to 21 Celsius (63-70F) with only 2 exceptions. The 31st had a low of 16.3 Celsius (61F), but the coolest night of the month was 20th, when 15.6 Celsius (60F) was recorded.

The sea temperature ranged from 21 to 23 Celsius (70-73F), but fell to 18 or 19 Celsius (64-66F) during the last few days of the month.

Rain

A total of 16.6 millimetres (0.65 ins.) of rain fell during October. This was 33% of the monthly average. Measurable rain fell on 4 days, and that was average for the time of year. A short burst of showery rain on the morning of the 16th gave 0.2 millimetres (0.01 ins.) on the 16th. Light rain during the morning of the 27th produced another 0.2 millimetres (0.01 ins), but rain late in the afternoon and during the evening on the 28th was slightly heavier and amounted to 2 millimetres (0.08 ins.). Rain was much heavier at times from early afternoon to mid evening on the 29th, and the 14.2 millimetres (0.56 ins.) made it the wettest day of the month.

Thunder

Distant thunder was heard to the north mid-afternoon, and again early evening, on the 29th. Malaga.

Hail

No hail was observed in this part of west Malaga.

Wind

Winds during October were typical of a mid-Autumn month, with southeasterly sea breezes generally weakening as the northwesterly land breezes dominated. On most days the winds were light or gentle. In fact, on 16 days there were no gusts above 10 knots (11 mph). The only gusts exceeding 20 knots (23 mph) occurred on the 5th and 27th, when 21 knots (24 mph) was meassured from the northwest and east-southeast respectively.

Fog

Shallow sea fog occurred for around 3 hours on the afternoon of the 25th.
