Rain in Malaga
There were 38.2 millimetres (1.5 ins) of rain measured during April, and this was around 25% below the long-term average for the area. Measurable rain occurred on 4 days, around half the number of rain days expected in April. The first rain of the month occurred on the morning of the 2nd when 7.4 millimetres (0.3 ins) were measured. On the following day there were showers but they produced less than 1 millimetre (0.04 ins) of rain. The 20th was wet for much of the day with some heavy rain late in the morning. The total for the day was over 13 millimetres (0.5 ins), but on the following day, although sunny intervals occurred, there were also showers. Some of these were heavy, and the 16.8 millimetres (0.7 ins) that fell made it the wettest day of the month.

The wind was predominantly from the northwest during April with the east-southeasterly sea breeze less frequent than normal. On 9 days there were more prominent sea breezes, or approaching weather systems led to winds from a southerly direction. Generally, winds were light or gentle, although occasionally the northwesterly breezes were moderate or fresh. Gusts only exceeded 20 knots (23 mph) on 4 days. The 5th was the windiest day of the month with a gust of 28 knots (32 mph), but gusts were aslso above 20 knots (23 mph) on the 3 consecutive days, the 24th,25th and 26th.
Fog
Sea fog drifted from east to west along the coast on the morning of the 30th, but it had dispersed by afternoon .
